finally home
Just uploaded the last two outbound days worth of photos, and will put some from the trip home up later.
closer still
Spending tonight in Seattle, having departed Eugene this morning. Went down to the waterfront, and not only were most of the shops closed, the batteries in my P&S crapped out on me as soon as we got there, so you only get four new images today. Tomorrow morning, we’re going to go back to the market for pictures and breakfast, and then head back toward the peninsula. Also, Batteries+ saved the day for me, by being the only store in three states to actually stock a replacement battery for my blackberry. Fry’s, you have failed me again. >:(
No commentsgetting lazy, but approaching the turnaround
so you only get one new gallery today, because I don’t feel like separating yesterday and today.
So, yesterday morning, we got up, and drove to the only open part of Yellowstone we hadn’t been to yet, and then turned west again toward Idaho. Twin Falls, ID is an interesting place; take a town the size of Tuscaloosa, and stretch it out along a canyon three or four hundred feet deep and a couple of miles long.
Spending tonight in Bend, OR. Had dinner at the Deschutes Brewery Public House, and the publicans took good care of us. if anyone should be in the area, the Uber Pils is excellent - not to be missed.

So we got up early today, and after an excellent breakfast here in town, headed in to the park. Spectacular. The thermal vents are the coolest thing I’ve seen since Devils Tower.
No commentsmoving toward the goal
we made it to yellowstone last night. our hotel is in West Yellowstone, MT. Had lunch yesterday at the MacKenzie River Pizza Co. Good stuff, that.

This post brought to you courtesy of Blackberry tethering and a fair bit of persistence. Currently in Badlands National Park, South Dakota. Left Northport yesterday morning.
